      Next to the red record button is a little dropdown arrow. Click on that and it should let you choose the built in microphone for the sound source.

    This is awesome! Great find. I always use Acethinker Screen Recorder to capture my macbook pro screen, free and works quite well. Share it here as an alternative to Quicktime.
